Just behind the hotel the trail leads up the popular Mittagskogel (2,145 m). Especially lovely is the Lake Faak circular walking trail with numerous spots to linger. Carinthia counts 93 mountain peaks over 3,000 metres – including Austria's highest mountain, the Großglockner (3,798 m). Add to that themed trails such as cultural, spring and cider walks as well as the Nockberge National Park.
Right nearby, the trails on the Baumgartner Höhe also invite you out on tour – and if you like it vertical, you will find climbing opportunities in the region too.
