DSGVO (GDPR)

Protection of Your Personal Data

The protection of your personal data is important to us. We process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (DSGVO, DSG, TKG 2021).

1. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the DSGVO (GDPR) is:

KEKIC KG Strandhotel Faak
Seestraße 2, 9583 Faak am See, Carinthia, Austria
Phone: +43 (0) 4254 2180
E-mail: office@strandhotelfaak.com
VAT number: ATU49389601

2. Your Rights

In principle you have the rights to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. If you have given consent, you can revoke it at any time with effect for the future. To do so, simply contact us using the contact details given above.

If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria this is the Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb@dsb.gv.at, www.dsb.gv.at.

3. Hosting

This website is operated by an external service provider (host). The personal data collected on this website are stored on the host's servers. The host is used for the purpose of the secure, fast and reliable provision of our online offering (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO). Where required, a data processing agreement (Art. 28 DSGVO) is in place with the host.

4. Server Log Files

Each time this website is accessed, the host automatically collects information that your browser transmits (so-called server log files). These are in particular:

  • browser type and browser version
  • operating system used
  • referrer URL (the previously visited page)
  • date and time of access
  • IP address in shortened or anonymised form

These data are not merged with other data sources. The collection takes place to ensure the smooth operation and security of the website (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO).

5. Contact & Enquiry Form

If you contact us via the enquiry form, by e-mail or by telephone, we process the data you provide (e.g. first and last name, e-mail address, telephone number, desired travel period, number of persons, room preference and your message) in order to process and respond to your enquiry.

The data entered in the form are transmitted in encrypted form via a technical interface (form gateway) to our e-mail inbox. A data processing agreement (Art. 28 DSGVO) is in place with the operator of this interface.

The legal basis is the initiation or performance of a (pre-)contractual relationship (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO) as well as your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO), which you give by ticking the declaration of consent. Your data remain with us until your enquiry has been conclusively processed and are subsequently deleted – provided that no statutory retention obligations preclude this.

To protect against automated requests (spam), the form contains a field that is invisible to you ("honeypot"). No personal data of yours are processed in the course of this.

6. Online Booking

For the online booking of rooms we embed an external third-party booking engine on the "Book directly" page. When you make a booking, the data required for this (e.g. name, contact details, travel period, payment information) are processed directly via the provider of the booking engine in order to process your booking (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO). Please also note the data protection information of the booking system provider in this regard.

7. Cookies

Insofar as necessary for operation, our website uses only technically necessary cookies or comparable technologies (e.g. to store your cookie/consent settings). These are required for the basic functions of the website (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO or § 165 para. 3 TKG 2021) and do not require consent. Cookies and third-party services for analysis and marketing purposes (see points 6 and 8 to 10) are only set after your explicit consent via our cookie banner. You can change or revoke your selection at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link at the bottom of the page.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies, allow cookies only in individual cases or exclude them generally. Deactivating cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

8. Embedded Third-Party Content (Maps, Booking)

On individual pages we embed content from third-party providers (e.g. map material for directions or the booking engine). For data protection reasons, such content is only loaded once you explicitly agree (consent). When loading, the respective provider may process your IP address and further technical data. The data protection provisions of the respective provider apply.

9. Web Analytics & Online Marketing (Google – only with consent)

Only if you explicitly agree in the cookie banner do we use the following services of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Without your consent, these services are not loaded and no cookies are set for them. Technically, we use the Google consent mode (Consent Mode v2) for this, which is set to "denied" by default.

Google Analytics 4 (identifier G-XK7M7D1FDR): service for reach and usage analysis. Pseudonymised usage data are processed (e.g. pages accessed, approximate region, device and browser, time spent) in order to improve the website.

Google Ads (identifier AW-879846284): service for measuring the success of our online advertising (conversion tracking) and, where applicable, for remarketing. This allows us to recognise which ads have led to an enquiry.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO, § 165 para. 3 TKG 2021). You can revoke this at any time with effect for the future via the "Cookie Settings" link at the bottom of the page. This may result in a transfer of data to third countries (including the USA); Google relies here on the EU standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Further information: policies.google.com/privacy.

10. Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram – only with consent)

Only if you explicitly agree in the cookie banner do we use the Meta Pixel (ID 1732768897753707) of Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland. Without your consent the pixel is not loaded and no cookies are set for it.

The Meta Pixel is used to measure the success of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram (conversion tracking) and, where applicable, for remarketing. Pseudonymised usage data (e.g. pages visited, device and browser) and your IP address are processed; Meta may link this data to your Meta account if you have one.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO, § 165 para. 3 TKG 2021). You can revoke this at any time with effect for the future via the "Cookie Settings" link at the bottom of the page. This may result in a transfer of data to third countries (including the USA); Meta relies here on the EU standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Further information: facebook.com/privacy/policy.

11. Newsletter

Should we offer a newsletter in the future, we will process the data you provide (in particular your e-mail address) exclusively on the basis of your explicit consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO) using the double opt-in procedure. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time and thereby revoke your consent.

12. Data Security

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of personal data, this website uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by "https://" in the address bar of your browser.

13. Currency & Changes

This privacy policy is continuously adapted to the actual circumstances and the legal requirements. The current version published on this page applies in each case.

You will find further legal information in our Legal Notice and in our Terms & Conditions.
